Agricultural Conferences,
Meetings, and Seminars - This calendar, maintained by the National Agricultural Library, has information about and links to more than 1,200 major national and international agricultural conferences, with emphasis on those of apparent scientific significance. Local, regional, and organization-specific events are included if they are considered scientifically significant. This resource is proactively and aggressively maintained. We believe this proactive philosophy makes it preeminent among Web-based agricultural calendars. In addition to general coverage of all agricultural subjects, the calendar includes sections that focus on several specific subject areas, each of which is also suitable for use as a stand-alone calendar for use in by elements primarily interested in a particular focus area.
AgDB (Agricultural Databases, Datasets, and Information Systems) - AgDB is a searchable metadata database of quality agriculture-related databases, datasets, and information systems that is a component of AgNIC (Agriculture Network Information Center). AgNIC is a virtual information center established by the National Agricultural Library in collaboration with Cornell University, Iowa State University, the University of Arizona, and the University of Nebraska--Lincoln. Fifteen additional institutions will soon join as partners in providing access to quality agriculture-related information resources and subject experts through AgNIC.
AgDB, which continues to expand the scope and depth of its coverage,
presently describes and presently links to more than 800 information
resources, many of which pertain to Animal Science. Carefully crafted
resource descriptions guide users directly to relevant, quality information
resources. AgDB offers an alphabetical index, a list of recently added
records, subject-classified access, and full-text search functionality.
Its uncomplicated user-interface makes it suitable for Internet-novice
and -veteran, alike. AgDB content ranges from "technical" to "practical".
